Congratulations

'BRC would like to congratulate Quinn Young, aged 10, and Nick Gardner, aged 82, who both completed reaching the summits of all 282 Munros in Scotland this year. Quinn began her challenge at the age of 4, and Nick 3 months after his 80th birthday. Munros are Scottish peaks of more than 3000ft (914m).

Neither Quinn nor Nick could have completed all these ascents without a leader: someone to plan, organise, and go ahead of them while they attempted such a challenge: the equivalent of 17 Everests. Inevitably BRC loses experienced leaders over time and if the club is to thrive in the future we need to replace them: so if you feel you can lead walks, however infrequently, or are willing to learn, please contact Isobel. All walks around Bath are well known, not difficult and there are no Munros.'

Ramblers Walking Holidays (RWH) - Walking Partnership scheme

Should you book a holiday with RWH, it would be much appreciated if you would nominate ‘Bath Rambling Club’ at the time of booking and we will receive £10 per person on UK holidays, £20 on short haul and £30 on long haul. Do make sure you give our correct name, not Bath Ramblers or any other variation.
